Why is this so complicated?? WiDi - nice idea. poor product execution.

I'm astounded Intel put out a product that requires consumers to have to go through so many hoops to make it work.  It seemed like such a great idea.  But what messy execution.  I went on the discussion threads.  I feel sorry for the people forced to go back and forth troubleshooting, often to no avail.  Even the other Intel products (My Wifi) block WiDi and so are an impediment to the functionality.  After three hours of futility (update drivers, adjust firewalls, try to get My Wifi to stop blocking the Netgear box, on and on.....)  I've given up.  I'm not a techie.  I don't have the patience.  It's simply not worth my time.

I don't often come down ******* a product.  But this.....it's just junk.  And that's directed at Intel as well as Netgear's useless little Push2TV brick I'll be sending back to Dell.  I now understand why Apple is clobbering the competition.  Apple may have their faults as control freaks, but at least their products work as advertised right out of the box.  As for PC to TV, I'll stick with a simple if inelegant HDMI cable from my PC to the TV.
