mSATA SSD compatibility

Hi all:

I wanted to find out what makes and breaks the compatibility of the mSATA SSD. I saw the link to the compatibility matrix Desktop Boards — Tested peripherals but wanted to see what I need to look for in other SSDs to ensure they work with the NUC hardware.
