USB 3.0 issues when adding 20 pin front panel adapter

I recently bought a new rig which is up and running.  BioStar TZ77B v5 mb, i7 3770 processor etc.  This mb is socket 1155 with Intel Z77 chipset and includes 2 USB 3.0 ports in rear along with several USB 2.0 ports.  It also comes with a front panel which includes sound ports, USB 2.0 ports and a sata port.  I decided to add a couple of USB 3.0 ports for the front of the case and ordered the BioStar USB 3.0 front panel adapter which connects to the 20 pin USB 3 header on the motherboard.  It ids and attaches my USB devices but only runs at 2.0 speeds.  I get the "this device can run faster with USB 3.0 super port" message and I installed a program to check transfer speed as well.  In this case the device is an ADATA USB 3.0 64gb thumbdrive.  If I plug this device into the rear (mb attached) USB 3.0 ports, it runs at 175 mbps.  Attached to the front USB 3.0 ports it runs 42 mbps.  I've ensured all drivers are up to date: chipset, eXtendable and literally everything in the system.  In the problem solving process I disabled/uninstalled one of the two "Intel 7 series/C216 chipset family USB enhanced controller" drivers unter the Universal Serial Bus controllers header in Device Manager.  The one uninstalled was 1E2D.  That left 1E26 still installed.  I found that with the 1E2D disabled, the front USB 3.0 ports were running at the correct speeds ( 175 mbps) and the "this device can run faster" message did not come up when device was plugged in.  I tried the USB 3.0 ports in rear of mb and they were also running at the correct speeds (which they always had) too. All the rear USB 2.0 ports are working fine.  The only thing not working when the 1E2D driver uninstalled was the front 2 USB 2.0 ports.  Everything else works fine, especially the 2 USB 3.0 front ports. I've rebooted system and the fix remained.  After the 2nd reboot however, the problem was back as first described.  I can't get it to duplicate either, at this point. This was the exact scenario I had last night.  Not sure what changed with the computer turned off all night but it will be interesting to see if I can remove the 1E2D driver tomorrow and see if that fixes it again, temporarily.  2 - C216 USB enhanced drivers are at 9.3.0.1.1011 and the eXt USB 3.0 is at 1.0.5.235.  Any thoughts?
