system is dell 990 optiplex with bios raid enable and boots to post with rapid storage

1. I have existing sata drive that I wish to raid 1
2. I understand I should and can raid from within windows
3. how to do that
4. does intel rapid storage have a software application in windws that I cannot find or do I use windows raid
5. what are pros cons of using intel  rapid storage over windows native raid and vice versa
