Windows 8/8.1 Intel HD 4000 Laptop Graphics Driver Problem!!!

Hello!!!

I'm in in urgent need of some assistance concerning Intel® HD 4000 drivers for Windows 8/8.1 (x64)  Here are my specs:

Asus K55A Notebook

Intel Core i3-3110M @ 2.40 GHz

Intel HD 4000 iGPU

Samsung 840 SSD 250 GB

Kingston HyperX 8 GB (2x 4GB) DDR3 1600MHz

Windows 8.1 Pro (x64) RTM Build 9600 (CURRENT OS)

The problem is as follows... Originally my notebook came with Windows 8 (x64) Single Language GDR version on a 750 GB HDD... And HD 4000 drivers were v9.x (2828) I updated to v9.18.10.3257 and then Windows 8 updated it normally up to v10.18.10.3412... Now I noticed that with the v9.x(3257) driver I had Dx11.1 installed and hardware support for Dx11.1 and WinSAT ran and showed the Dx10/11 Graphics, DWM and Gaming scores... When Windows updated to the v10.x(3412) drivers... DirectX dropped to 11.0 hardware support, when my hardware actually supports 11.1...

Here's the doozy... On my SSD I have a clean install of Windows 8.1 Pro (x64) RTM version Build 9600... And Windows 8.1 is FORCING me to install HD 4000 driver v10.x(3308) And WinSAT Graphics scores have dropped from a Gaming Score of 6.9 to 5.1 and the Dx10/11 part of the tests are no "0" and DirectX is now 11.2 installed and Hardware support is 11.0... I repeat my hardware supports Dx11.1 as it would show on Windows 8 running the v9.x series drivers... What is the deal??? Am I missing something??? I have horrible Windows 8.1 Desktop graphics quality... IE 11 and anything in Metro or "Change PC Settings"  have very, very poor quality... all the letters are highly pixelated and distorted... On the desktop screen the icons are really blurry and the text is fuzzy... I don't get it!!! My notebook LED LCD screen is HD LED at 1367x768... HD 4000 is set to High Performance Mode... Why is it that with Windows 8 it does update to HD 4000 drivers v10.18.10.3412 from Windows Update and with Windows 8.1 Pro... Windows Update forces me to use v10.17.10.3308... How is that possible since its the same notebook!!! The only difference is me swapping the HDD with Win8 Single Language OEM to the SSD with Win8.1 Pro... I mean its the same exact hardware!!!

Any and ALL advice is greatly appreciated... THX in advance!!!

And I can't update manually because it says I do no meet the minimum requirements... WinSAT aborts DX11/11 Assessments due to the graphics driver not being WDDM...
