I upgraded the BIOS version to 0089, because the first version 0053 gave me problems with SATA3 and the Intel SSD 520. Only BIOS default and AHCI mode. I installed Linux Mint 13 Cinammon 64bits using a USB flash drive (pendrive) Kingston DataTravel. Everything is working. Kernel version until now (uname -r): 3.2.0-31-generic
So far... I've found the following issues:
1- DH77EB Won't boot from SSD while a USB flash drive is plugged in.
Same problem here: DH77EB - Would not boot from SSD while USB flash drive plugged in
2- DH77EB Reboot instead of shutdown.
Same problem here: Reboot instead of shutdown on DH77EB, OS 12.1 and tumbleweed
I solved itby setting Wake OnLANdisabled intheBIOS. So... There must have a problem with Wake On LAN.
I tested the motherboard PCIe Slot with an old Video Card PCIe and I didn't have any problem. I didn't play, I only tested it for awhile on Linux. ECS N8600GT-512DZ GeForce 8600 GT 512MB 128-bit GDDR2 PCI Express x16
I don't have a PCIe 1x card to test those 1x slots. Sorry guys...
DH77EB - Any resolution for PCIe-recognition problem?
I didn't have any problem with the Key F2 and the BIOS 0089.
F2 doesn't work on DH77EB bios update 0089
I'm still testing the motherboard...
